Sandal Features
Sandals are custom-made and individually designed to the shape of your feet. Straps are adjustable to ensure a good fit. There is stock ready for sale, but custom-made sandals are available at no extra cost. There is also a discount for second pairs.
The leather is mostly locally grown and tanned at Nerangba. It is very expensive (both in dollars and environmental footprint) and requires leather dressing to maintain its texture and flexibility (see Caring for your sandals).
The outer soles use the following materials:
- Vibram - an excellent light durable flexible material imported from Italy
- Similar alternatives to vibram
- Eva - a lightweight lower-cost material.
Where can you buy them?
You can buy the sandals through this website, or in Peace of Green, an old shop in the centre of Maleny, at 38 Maple Street. If you're visiting Maleny give me a ring and I'll meet you at Peace of Green.
Prices vary with size and style from AUD$70 to AUD$110 plus AUD$9 post and packaging within Australia.
